It's been a while, and there's a lot going on, so I figured this would be a good time for an update.
Well, we entered a "battle of the bands" kinda thing called Rockkarusellen. We already did the three qualification gigs and were lucky enough to get to the semifinals. yey!
And and a couple of weeks from now our brand new kickass demo will be up for download on our myspace! the work in the studio is proggressing quite well, we've recorded drums on every song and my part of the guitar on every song as well. be ready for the release!
Another thing (this one is bad) that happened is that our dear drummer went to the pub with a couple of his little friends. He paid to hang his jacket in the closet, and went in. All of his keys were in the pocket, including the ones to our rehearsal studio, and when he was going to get his jacket on his way out, guess what was missing....? We have'nt found them since.
And the only guy that could give us new reheasal studio keys is still in umeå, his girlfriend broke her back or something. so we cant get in there. all of our thing is filling up tims apartment and my room for the moment. I hope this ends soon.

A weekend of "hard" work is done. We had to work for free as roadies at Nordic rage metal festival, so we can play there next year. It was a pretty good thing to have experienced. Learned some new things and got to meet a bunch of cool artists, among them was the haunted, evergrey and carnal forge. Anders Björler (the haunted) even gave me one of his picks, with his name on it^^. The only problem was that our boss, Fitt-Morgan, was a major or something from the army, and he treated us like soldiers at an army base. fucking asshole. god awful dialect too. anywho...
About the band: Abernaith has gone into something of a drought when it comes to good riffs and potential new songs. bummer. we'll keep trying... something good has to come out of all rehearsing soon enough. Got about ten songs ready right now, and we'll work our asses of to increase that number as fast as possible.
Our dear bassplayer, Simpan, has been struck with insomnia, lets hope he gets better soon.
gonna get some sleep now, later.

First time I write here, tomorrow we will be playing in Gällivare and I think it's gonna be a blast. It's in the most north of Sweden you can come, across the polar circle. We had a band practice yesterday and everything sounded really good. We also had a lottery in the band about who will sit in the front passenger seat, Dhrubo and I won! :) Now I haven't got much more to write here so good night.

Third day of this blog! listening to : Winamp : "Racer X - technical difficulties.mp3"
Another rehearsal done. This one much more efficient and more productive than the last one. Don't know what went wrong the last time but we sounded like three-year-olds trying to play meshuggah. Anyway, this rehearsal was a good one, and we've made sure the gig on thursday will kick ass!
Tim, our own personal sloth, was about 2 ours late, so we couldn't get things going for some time. It's a little bit funny that he's so fast on the drums but so late showing up for rehearsals haha. But me and terry sat down and tried to do something with a riff he came up with. Or more precise, the riff he had a vision about in his head, and it came out pretty neat. more info on that new stuff soon.
A couple of rehearsals ago, terry decorated the rehearsal studio with a very artistic coffee stain, about half a meter wide. wonder if ever gonna come off. haha. good work. assface^^. No, just kidding, terry's the sweetest guy and would never hurt a fly (hrm...), but the wall-to-wall carpet just has to suffer. what a pity.
As said before thursday is D-day for the first out-of-town abernaith gig!
Gällivare here we come, or something... anyway, it's nice with a 240 km roadtrip!
the gig will take place in this place called Stacken, something of a youth recreation centre. of course we hope to see a filled floor, but the main objective is to kick ass on stage and once again prove that we're a band to count for.
since I seem to have nothing more to write about, i guess I'm gonna pass the torch back to terry, and go to fucking brutal sleep!! (hehe). so to all you "crazy metalhead bastards" (saxon quote), good night, and good luck!

No Sunset For A Traitor
Second day of this blog!

today this blog won't only be a blog it will be shorter like a little story
and it will also be a sort of analysis, some kind of mental goal.

We gathered at the rehearsal studio to crack down on our new songs,
and also oldies! We had a mini musical warmup with our unnamed song
that we played on our show few weeks ago, and still haven't really
got any lyrics for! Only god knows when that song will be complete.
It feels like that ball has been in the air for so long its never
coming down. Anyway, so we had a fun rehearsal(as usual), Simply
eating and drinkin' more shit than we actually play music, but i guess that's
what it takes to make some hardass mean songs!
So at the moment we have 4 new songs that will be played at next show.
You better be there! 2 of them completely done(Uncage the beast) and
(Desensitized by). 1 with complete music(no lyrics),
and 1 that ill tell you more about soon. So ill have to pull my finger
out of my arse, 'cause i just noticed we have a show in less than 2 weeks.

For you people actually reading this bunch of crap im writing, im about to
give you the best tip ever in Lyric history, if you want your next album
to be totally fucking bree.
there's a cheese called bree cheese. I actually got this tip from the drummer in all shall perish, you simply take the bree cheese, and you roll it around on the floor like a wheel, and you just go BREE, and what comes out from your throat will be nothing BUT!
So that's what you should do if you want your next album to be fucking brutal.
Our goals for the future is to write enough songs to shovel our old ancient
songs out of the way for our new stuf!, though we will save the oldies
we love! Like The decease and Enfeebled.
Our goal is to reach all the plans and goal we have!How we do not know but we will do whatever it takes. Something that we want to do is go out on a
tour so bad! and play everywhere. BOOK US... well come to ankorwett if thats what i takes, and play ackapella with a bunch of bambus!! Which would be really cool in my opinion... So we're up for that aswell!

really hard nap, i've been workin' all night at a club and screaming
in the rehearsal studio for hours! So anyway, take care guys. Next time
Tim will be writing,"the heart of our band" so don't go around missing me
to much, cause i might just be around the corner, saying. Hello its me and im just checking none of you guys'r missing me all night long.

Our first blogg contribution starts right now for thou who shall feel interest!

Begin
The last 6 months we can amusingly claim that Abernaith has evolved through blood sweat and tears. six freakin' months... It has felt like a lifetime long, still like a week short!!. The fun we have had
we cannot find one single dictionary which contains such strength of a word. Inevitable fun but thats two words, ;o Anyhow...
Ups and downs
There'v been times where we've been puddling the same riffs over and over and over again.
Rehearsal. rehearsal, And now around 1 week later i mean a lifetime, We stand tall ,
10 songs wealthier. and kickass gigs in front of us, hitting us from all directions. like a bareknuckler with Norris.
Demo!
One demo has been released, that we are extremly proud of! it feels like we havediscarded and cast aside more music than we even created, unpossibly as it turns out. But for one reason
to show only the songs that made us smile in a fit of joy. What we've got in store for next show
is 3 new songs, better than ever and some mean, KICKASS on stage! Also feel free to download our demo either from this website, or from our Myspace. there is a link to it above.

Whats been going on lately
Whats been going on lately in the reherasal room is the writing of 2 new tracks, that kinda
fell from heaven immaculately claimed. Anton our guitarist has stunned us all with his
overwhelm of creativeness. I won't say im surprised, just very pleased! and everyone else in
the band are kicking so much butt i wear a smile throughout 99% of the rehearsals.
And we can hardly wait to show you guys our new stuf!!
Recording material and Teasers
Something more that recently occured to us, is that we are going to exchange money for
recording material, such as mixerboards and ports, ill say no more thereof the reason
i might sound ignorant and very unskilled. anyway More info will be posted soon.
i will also admitt that there will be a teaser for those who like what you've heard so far
added to our myspace website, shortly. Briefly said things are doing good,we hope to keep
up the good work!
